20 AAC 05.808 - Point system for the Southeastern Alaska geoduck clam dive fishery

(a) The commission will award a maximum of 24 points to an applicant for past participation in, and economic dependence on, the Southeastern Alaska geoduck clam dive fishery. An applicant who commercially harvested geoduck clams from the fishery during the January 1, 1992, to July 1, 1996 time period will be awarded points for the years in which they participated according to the poundage thresholds established for each year as follows:
(b) In this section,
(1) "commercially harvested" means the taking
and selling of geoduck clams in the manner consistent with
20 AAC 05.806;
(2) "pounds" means actual pounds of whole
geoduck clams recorded on fish tickets.
