Title 18 - Environmental Conservation
Chapter 53 - Fuel Requirements for Motor Vehicles
Article 1 - Oxygenated Gasoline Requirements
18 AAC 53.030 - Sampling, testing, and oxygen content calculations
Current through August 30, 2024
(a) To comply with the requirements of this chapter, the oxygen content of gasoline must be determined by
V oxygenate x d oxygenate x WW oxygen = _________ (V gas x d gas) + (V oxygenate x d oxygenate)
where:W= weight fraction (for percent, multiply by 100) oxygenate= oxygenate in the blend V= volume fraction d= specific gravity gas= gasoline
W oxygen = UNHANDLEDCHAR (V oxygen x d oxygenate x W oxygen/oxygenate) _________ (V gas x d gas) + UNHANDLEDCHAR (V oxygenate x d oxygenate)
where:W= weight fraction (for percent, multiply by 100) oxygenate= oxygenate in the blend V= volume fraction d= specific gravity gas= gasoline
(b) The oxygen molecular weight contributions of an oxygenate approved for use under this chapter are set out in the following table:
OXYGEN MOLECULAR WEIGHT CONTRIBUTIONS
Oxygen Molecular
