(a) A commercial motor vehicle must stop for weighing and vehicle inspection where an official highway sign indicates that a weigh station is in operation or at the direction of an enforcement officer.
(b) In this section,
(1) "commercial motor vehicle"
means a motor vehicle of more than 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating
(GVWR) or gross combination weight rating (GCWR) used in commerce;
(2) "gross combination weight rating" has the
meaning given that term in
AS
19.10.399;
(3) "gross vehicle weight rating" has the
meaning given that term in
AS
19.10.399.
