15 AAC 154.400 - Homeless assistance program (HAP)

Current through August 30, 2024

(a) The Corporation may assist municipalities, regional housing authorities, non-profit corporations and partnerships or joint ventures of any of the foregoing to meet the housing and supportive service needs of homeless and near-homeless persons.

(b) Repealed 10/20/2009.

(c) The Corporation may participate in the development of buildings or units that, by their use, address homelessness but that, by their operation, appear nonresidential in nature.

(d) The Corporation may provide financial assistance to prevent homelessness, including but not limited to prevention of foreclosures and evictions.

(e) The Corporation may provide financial assistance to support housing retention services or facilitate transition from dependency on low-cost housing.

(f) The Corporation may participate with appropriate sponsoring agencies or groups in demonstration housing projects that address homelessness.

(g) The Corporation may support planning, coordination and evaluation activities that improve the delivery of homeless services and programs.
