13 AAC 75.015 - Presumptive eligibility period to receive medical insurance premium payment

As provided in AS 39.60.040, a surviving dependent of a peace officer or firefighter who is killed in the line of duty while employed by the state or a participating political subdivision is presumed eligible to receive medical insurance premium payments for the first 60 days after the death of the peace officer or firefighter. A surviving dependent or the authorized representative of a surviving dependent must request the medical insurance premium payments from the department in writing and provide information necessary to support the request, including medical insurance information.
