Chapter 63 - Forensic Alcohol Testing
13 AAC 63.900 - Definitions

As used in this chapter,

(1) "commissioner" means the commissioner of the Department of Public Safety;

(2) "alcohol" means the unique class of chemical compounds known as ethyl alcohol;

(3) "concentration" means the weight amount of alcohol contained in a unit volume;

(4) "identification number" means the identification number assigned by the scientific director to a certified breath test operator or supervisor;

(5) "supervisor" means a person certified as a breath test supervisor under 13 AAC 63.070;

(6) "visual display" means the electronic screen on the face of a breath test instrument;

(7) "scientific director" means the person designated by the commissioner under 13 AAC 63.010(a) to serve as the scientific director of the breath and blood alcohol testing program.
