A licensed veterinarian shall exercise the degree of care, skill, and diligence in treating patients that is ordinarily used in the same or similar circumstances by average members of the veterinary medical profession in the community in which the veterinarian practices. Failure to comply with this section constitutes incompetence for the purpose of AS 08.98.235.
