12 AAC 46.900 - Definitions

In this chapter

(1) "department" means the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development;

(2) "health care facility" means a place devoted primarily to the inpatient diagnosis, treatment, or care of two or more unrelated individuals suffering from illness, disease, injury, or physical or mental disability;

(3) "NAB" means the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators, Inc.;

(4) "nursing home" has the meaning given in AS 08.70.180.

Effective in Register 137, April 1996, the definition for the term "board" was deleted by the regulations attorney as being obsolete under ch. 91, SLA 1995.

As of Register 171 (October 2004), the regulations attorney made technical revisions under AS 44.62.125(b)(6) to reflect the name change of the Department of Community and Economic Development to the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development made by ch. 47, SLA 2004 and the corresponding title change of the commissioner of community and economic development.
