12 AAC 39.400 - Purpose of continuing education

Universal Citation: 12 AK Admin Code 39.400
Current through February 24, 2025

The purpose of continuing mechanical education is to ensure that the renewal of licenses is contingent upon proof of continued competency and assure the consumer of optimum quality and safety of mechanical installation by requiring licensed mechanical administrators to pursue education designed to include the current editions of applicable codes and standards.

12 AAC 39.400 took effect 7/7/94 as an emergency regulation. Due to technical corrections made by the regulations attorney in reviewing the "permanent" regulation for filing, the permanent regulation as it was published in Register 132, January 1995 differed from the emergency regulation even though the section's history note did not reflect an amendment to that section.
