12 AAC 06.220 - Failure of contestant to resume boxing

A contestant may not leave the ring during the one minute rest period between rounds. If a contestant fails or refuses to resume boxing when the gong sounds denoting the commencement of the next round, the referee shall award a decision of knockout to the opponent as of the round last finished, except that, if the circumstances indicate to the referee the requirement for investigation or punitive action, the referee may not give a decision.
