Section 920-X-1-.03 - The State Service Commissioner

The state service commissioner is appointed by the State Board of Veterans Affairs and serves a term of four years. The state service commissioner is the executive and administrative officer of the department, and shall have the power to issue administrative orders and directives to all officials and employees in the department. The commissioner appoints all assistant, district, county and assistant county service commissioners, with approval of the state board, and all clerical and stenographic personnel subject to the rules of the state merit system as approved by the State Personnel Board.
