Section 800-5-2-.02 - Local Employees Not Members Of State Retirement Systems

All employees of employers eligible to participate in the Employees' Retirement System pursuant to Code of Ala. 1975, § 36-27-6, shall be members and shall be eligible to contribute to the same extent and subject to the same restrictions as members of the Teachers' Retirement System, the Employees' Retirement System, and the Judicial Retirement Fund, except that the PEIRAF administrative staff may establish different administrative procedures for handling contributions from an employee who is not employed by a unit which contributes regularly to the Employees' or Teachers' Retirement Systems.
