Section 770-X-1-.16 - Interruptions Of Service

(1) Each utility shall make reasonable efforts to avoid interruption of firm service, but when interruptions occur service shall be re-established within the shortest time practicable, consistent with safety.
(a) Each utility shall keep records of
interruptions of firm service on its primary distribution system and shall make
an analysis of the records for the purpose of determining steps to be taken to
prevent recurrence of such interruptions. Such records shall include the
following information concerning the interruptions:
1. Cause
2. Date and time
3. Duration
(b) The log for each unattended
substation/regulator station must also show interruption which require
attention to restore service with the estimated time of interruption.
(c) Planned interruptions of firm service
shall be made at a time that will not cause unreasonable inconvenience to
customers and shall be preceded, if feasible, by at least a two (2) day notice
to those who will be affected.
