(1) Medicaid may create, generate, communicate, store, process, use, and rely upon electronic records and signatures.

(2) Medicaid may convert written records to electronic records.

(3) When converting written records to electronic records, Medicaid will ensure the electronic records accurately reflect the information set forth in the written records and remain accessible in electronic form for all applicable record retention periods.
