Section 482-2-101-.06 - Use Of Other Codes

(1) In order to better perform the statutory duties and responsibilities of the office of State Fire Marshal, portions of the 2021 editions of the following codes promulgated by the International Code Council& or the National Fire Protection Association may be consulted by the office of State Fire Marshal as needed to determine the proper applicability of the codes adopted by reference in the Rule 482-2-101-.02 to any structure or building:

(a) International Building Code&.

(b) International Fuel Gas Code&.

(c) International Mechanical Code&.

(d) International Existing Buildings Code&.

(e) International Plumbing Code&.

(f) National Fire Codes&.

(2) This rule does not purport to adopt the codes listed in paragraph (1). Instead, it is intended to state that said codes may be consulted as necessary to determine whether the fire prevention and protection aspects of the codes that are adopted by reference in Rules 482-2-101-.02 are properly applied under the circumstances.
