Section 480-4-3-.29 - Payment Of Benefits For Back Weeks

(1) When payment of prior weeks claimed is determined appropriate by local office personnel:
(a) A claimstaker who has determined a
claimant to be entitled to one or two prior weeks may authorize the payment of
same;
(b) A local office manager
may authorize payment of up to four prior weeks;
(c) If the number of prior weeks exceeds
four, and the local office manager either is of the opinion that payments
should be allowed or is uncertain as to whether they should be paid, all prior
weeks shall be submitted to the central office for determination of
payment.
(2) If local office personnel determines that prior weeks should not be paid, regardless of the number, benefits shall be denied. If the claimant insists on being paid for the prior weeks, he may sign for them, but shall then be disqualified.
