Section 420-3-11-.13 - Personnel

(1) Health - No employee, while infected with a disease in a communicable form that can be transmitted to other employees or guests, or who is a carrier of organisms that cause such a disease, or who is affected with a boil, an infected wound or an acute respiratory infection shall work in a hotel in any capacity in which there is a likelihood of such an employee contaminating ice, clean linens, utensils, or single-service articles with pathogenic organisms or transmitting the disease to other persons.
(2) Cleanliness - Employees working in utensil washing or wrapping, handling clean laundry, ice or beverages shall thoroughly wash their hands and exposed portions of their arms before starting work; after smoking, eating, or using the toilet; or after doing anything which would contaminate their hands. Employees shall keep their fingernails trimmed and clean.
(3) Clothing - Employees involved in guest services and housekeeping functions shall wear clean outer clothing that is in good repair.
