Section 300-4-7-.02 - Organization

(1) It is the responsibility of the Alabama Commission on Higher Education to establish policies and procedures for the implementation of the Police Officer's and Firefighter's Survivor's Educational Assistance Program. The Police Officer's and Firefighter's Survivor's Educational Assistance Program is administered in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Alabama Commission on Higher Education.

(2) The Alabama Commission on Higher Education appoints such staff as are necessary to ensure efficient operation of the program.

(3) The Tuition Eligibility Board shall determine the eligibility of any person applying for assistance through the Police Officer's and Firefighter's Survivor's Educational Assistance Program and shall certify to the Alabama Commission on Higher Education each eligible person to receive assistance through the program.
