Post Office Box Fee Refund
The Postal Service is amending Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM[supreg]) to clarify the refund policy for customers who qualified for a Group ``E'' (free) Post Office BoxTM. The Postal Service is also making an amendment for consistency with refund standards.
Mailing Currency
The Postal Service is proposing to amend Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM[supreg]) subsections 503.2.1 and 601.1.0 to clarify mailing standards for currency.
Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies
The Postal Service is proposing to amend Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM[supreg]) section 508.1.8, to update the regulations concerning Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies (CMRAs).
Caller Service-Customized Address
The Postal Service is withdrawing the proposed rule that announced a new service feature, Caller ServiceCustomized Address, which would've allowed current Caller Service customers to omit their Post Office Box number from the address of the mailpiece.
Inspection Service Authority; Civil Monetary Penalty Inflation Adjustment
This document updates postal regulations by implementing inflation adjustments to civil monetary penalties that may be imposed under consumer protection and mailability provisions enforced by the Postal Service pursuant to the Deceptive Mail Prevention and Enforcement Act and the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act, as well as the civil monetary penalty that may be imposed by the Postal Service for false claims and statements under the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act. These adjustments are required under the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015. This document includes the adjustments for 2023 for the statutory civil monetary penalties subject to the 2015 Act and all necessary updates authorized by the 2015 Act for regulatory civil monetary penalties.
Privacy Act of 1974; System of Records
The United States Postal Service[supreg] (USPS) is proposing to revise a Customer Privacy Act System of Records (SOR). The proposed modifications will provide additional transparency into the collection and use of records for the USPS to administer and comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements. The Postal Service is focused on continuous improvement efforts that increase effectiveness and efficiency, such as enhancements to functionality and processing capabilities that support ongoing administrative and compliance activities.
Privacy Act of 1974; System of Records
The United States Postal Service[supreg] (USPS[supreg]) proposes revising a General Privacy Act System of Records (SOR). These updates are being made to support the implementation of quick customer experience surveys to be conducted at the end of retail Post Office customer visits.
