Energy Efficiency Program for Industrial Equipment: Petition of UL Verification Services Inc. for Classification as a Nationally Recognized Certification Program for Small Electric Motors
This notice announces receipt of a petition from UL Verification Services (UL) for classification by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as a nationally recognized certification program under 10 CFR 431.447 and 431.448. In its petition, which appears at the end of this notice, UL provides documentation to help substantiate its position that its certification program for small electric motors satisfies the evaluation criteria for classification as a nationally recognized certification program that are specified in 10 CFR 431.447(b). This notice summarizes the substantive aspects of these documents and requests public comments on the merits of UL's petition.
Notice of Petition for Waiver of Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI) From the Department of Energy Commercial Refrigerator, Freezer and Refrigerator-Freezer Test Procedure, and Grant of Interim Waiver
This notice announces receipt of and publishes a petition for waiver and application for interim waiver from Felix Storch, Inc. (FSI) (hereafter, ``petition'') from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) test procedure for determining the energy consumption of commercial refrigerators, freezers and refrigerator-freezers. Today's notice also grants an interim waiver for specific basic models to FSI from portions of the DOE commercial refrigerator, freezer and refrigerator-freezer test procedure. Through this notice, DOE also solicits comments with respect to the FSI petition.

This notice announces receipt of a petition for waiver and application for interim waiver (hereafter, ``petition'') from GE Appliances (GE) regarding specified portions of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) test procedure for determining the energy consumption of residential electric refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers. In its petition, GE provides an alternate test procedure. DOE solicits comments, data, and information concerning GE's petition and the suggested alternate test procedure. Today's notice also grants GE an interim waiver from the residential electric refrigerator and refrigerator-freezer test procedure, subject to use of the alternative test procedure set forth in this notice.
Petition for Waiver of GE Appliances From the Department of Energy Residential Refrigerator and Refrigerator-Freezer Test Procedure and Grant of Interim Waiver
This notice announces receipt of a petition for waiver from GE Appliances (GE) seeking an exemption from specified portions of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) test procedure for determining the energy consumption of electric refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers. GE asks that it be permitted to use an alternate test procedure to address the difficulties in testing shared dual compressor systems according to the currently applicable DOE test procedure. DOE solicits comments, data, and information concerning GE's petition and the suggested alternate test procedure. Today's notice also grants GE with an interim waiver from the electric refrigerator-freezer test procedure, subject to use of the alternative test procedure set forth in this notice. The waiver request pertains to the basic models set forth in GE's petition that incorporate shared dual compressor systems.

(Hussmann) (hereafter, ``petition'') from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) test procedure for determining the energy consumption of commercial refrigerators, freezers and refrigerator-freezers. Today's notice also grants an interim waiver to Hussmann from the commercial refrigerator, freezer and refrigerator-freezer test procedure. Through this notice, DOE also solicits comments with respect to the Hussmann petition.
