The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) published two direct final rules in the Federal Register, on December 12, 2018, and February 26, 2019, which amended its spent fuel storage regulations by revising the Holtec International HI-STORM 100 Multipurpose Canister Cask System listing within the ``List of approved spent fuel storage casks'' to include Amendment Nos. 12 and 13 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1014 respectively. Amendment No. 12 became effective on February 25, 2019, and Amendment No. 13 became effective on May 13, 2019. The technical specifications for the HI-STORM Multipurpose Canister Cask 100 System, Amendment Nos. 12 and 13 contained a typographical error. The purpose of this action is to correct the error.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is granting an exemption to allow a departure from the certification information of Tier 1 of the generic design control document (DCD) and is issuing License Amendment No. 159 for Unit 3 and No. 157 for Unit 4 to Combined Licenses (COLs), NPF-91 and NPF-92. The COLs were issued to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc., and Georgia Power Company, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, MEAG Power SPVM, LLC, MEAG Power SPVJ, LLC, MEAG Power SPVP, LLC, and the City of Dalton, Georgia (collectively SNC); for construction and operation of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Units 3 and 4, located in Burke County, Georgia. The granting of the exemption allows the changes to Tier 1 information asked for in the amendment. Because the acceptability of the exemption was determined in part by the acceptability of the amendment, the exemption and amendment are being issued concurrently.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering the issuance of an amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-62, issued to Exelon Generation Company, LLC (the licensee), for operation of the Clinton Power Station, Unit No 1 (CPS), located in DeWitt County, Illinois. The proposed action would amend the expiration of Facility Operating License No. NPF-62 from September 29, 2026, to April 17, 2027. From September 29, 1986, to April 17, 1987, CPS was limited to 5 percent of rated power while operators conducted low-power testing before being issued a full-power operating license on April 17, 1987. The action to amend the expiration date of the license from September 29, 2026, to April 17, 2027, would result in the license expiring 40 years from the date of the issuance of the full-power operating license, as is permitted by the NRC's regulations.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will convene a teleconference meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI) on June 10, 2019, to discuss: (1) The revisions to the ACMUI bylaws and (2) the draft report of the ACMUI Regulatory Guide 8.39 Subcommittee. This report will include the subcommittee's comments and recommendations on Phase 1 of the revisions to Regulatory Guide 8.39, ``Release of Patients Administered Radioactive Material.'' A phased approach is being conducted by the NRC staff to comprehensively update Regulatory Guide 8.39. Phase 1 of the revision provides licensees with more detailed instructions to patients before and after they have been administered radioactive material than what is currently provided in Regulatory Guide 8.39.
