The SEDAR 71 assessment of the South Atlantic stock of gag grouper will consist of a data webinar and a series assessment webinars.
South Atlantic Fishery Management Council; Public Meetings
The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council) will hold meetings of the following: Law Enforcement Committee; Habitat and Ecosystem-Based Management Committee, Mackerel Cobia Committee, Snapper Grouper Committee; Dolphin Wahoo Committee; Southeast Data, Assessment and Review (SEDAR) Committee (partially Closed Session); and Executive Committee. The meeting week will also include a formal public comment session and a meeting of the Full Council. Due to public health concerns associated with COVID-19 and current travel restrictions the meeting will be held via webinar.

Takes of Marine Mammals Incidental to Specified Activities; Taking Marine Mammals Incidental to Naval Base San Diego Pier 6 Replacement Project, San Diego, California
In accordance with the regulations implementing the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) as amended, notification is hereby given that NMFS has issued an incidental harassment authorization (IHA) to the U.S. Navy (Navy) to incidentally harass, by Level B harassment only, marine mammals during activities associated with the Naval Base San Diego Pier 6 Replacement Project in San Diego, California.
Coastal Migratory Pelagic Resources of the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Region; 2020-2021 Commercial Closure for Spanish Mackerel in the Atlantic Southern Zone
NMFS closes the Atlantic southern zone for commercial Spanish mackerel in or from the Atlantic exclusive economic zone. NMFS has determined that the commercial quota for Spanish mackerel in the Atlantic southern zone will be reached by February 3, 2021. Therefore, NMFS closes the Atlantic southern zone to commercial harvest of Spanish mackerel on February 3, 2021. This closure is necessary to protect the Spanish mackerel resource in the Atlantic.
