Notice of Proposed Information Collection Requests: IMLS Evaluation of Grant Programs Funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act
The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. This pre-clearance consultation program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. The purpose of this Notice is to solicit comments about the proposed evaluation of IMLS's grant programs funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Arts and Artifacts Indemnity Panel Advisory Committee
Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, notice is hereby given that the Federal Council on the Arts and the Humanities will hold a meeting of the Arts and Artifacts Domestic Indemnity Panel.
Request for Information (RFI): Information Literacy Programs, Resources, and Promising Practices
The Institute of Museum and Library Services requests information on programs, resources, and activities designed to strengthen information literacy skills. The agency is particularly interested in programs and activities that can be implemented at the local level, in community organizations such as museums and libraries, to help individuals develop the skills necessary to find, evaluate, use, and create information in meaningful ways. The agency is also interested in tools and approaches that can be adapted to meet the needs of different users.
Meeting of Humanities Panel
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) will hold thirty-four meetings, by videoconference, of the Humanities Panel, a federal advisory committee, during August 2023. The purpose of the meetings is for panel review, discussion, evaluation, and recommendation of applications for financial assistance under the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act of 1965.
Notice of Proposed Information Collection Requests: 21st Century Museum Professionals Program Notice of Funding Opportunity
The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. This pre-clearance consultation program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. The purpose of this Notice is to solicit comments concerning a plan to offer a new discretionary grant program to support the development and enhancement of a diverse workforce of museum professionals with an initial emphasis on spurring economic growth through workforce development in the post-pandemic environment, particularly for cultural institutions in rural and economically distressed communities. Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, as amended, notice is hereby given that 21 meetings of the Arts Advisory Panel to the National Council on the Arts will be held by teleconference or videoconference.
Meeting of National Council on the Humanities
Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, notice is hereby given that the National Council on the Humanities will meet to advise the Chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) with respect to policies, programs and procedures for carrying out her functions; to review applications for financial assistance under the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities Act of 1965 and make recommendations thereon to the Chair; and to consider gifts offered to NEH and make recommendations thereon to the Chair.
