The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. This pre-clearance consultation program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. The purpose of this Notice is to announce the intent to solicit feedback on ease of use, usefulness, and recommended changes from both museum users and educators to continue to support the project in growth and utility for Museums for Digital Learning Project Evaluation. The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has under OMB review the following proposed Information Collection Request ``Improving Customer Experience (OMB Circular A-11, Section 280 Implementation)'' for approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA). This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. This Notice proposes a generic clearance to gather customer and stakeholder feedback via customer interviews, feedback surveys, and rapid feedback user testing of website experiences in order to improve customer experience with IMLS services of various kinds.
