The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the re- establishment of the Transit Advisory Committee for Safety (TRACS) via a new charter. TRACS is a Federal Advisory Committee established by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation (Secretary) in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act to provide information, advice and recommendations to the Secretary and the Administrator of FTA on matters relating to the safety of public transportation systems. This charter will be effective for two years from the date it is filed with Congress.

FTA is issuing this notice to announce action taken by the USACE that is final within the meaning of the United States Code. The action relates to the construction of a 16.2-mile light-rail transit (LRT) line, known as the Purple Line, from the Bethesda Metro Station in Montgomery County, Maryland, to the New Carrollton Station in Prince George's County, Maryland (the Project). The USACE granted a Department of the Army permit, pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, as amended, authorizing the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) to discharge dredged or fill material into Waters of the United States at specified locations related to the Project.

The final circular updates the Circular 8100.1C, ``Program Guidance For Metropolitan Planning and State Planning and Research Program Grants,'' to reflect various changes in law and to incorporate provisions of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ``Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO): Solicitation of Project Proposals for the National Center for Mobility Management

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is soliciting proposals under FTA's Technical Assistance and Workforce Development Program to select an entity to administer the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM) and provide funding for the entity's activities through the NCMM. The NCMM will carry out activities to improve and enhance the coordination of Federal resources for human service transportation, especially transportation for people with disabilities, older adults, and people with low incomes. Primary activities will include supporting partners in adopting proven, sustainable, replicable, customer-centered mobility strategies that promote good health, economic vitality, self-sufficiency, and community unity. The FTA intends to fund the NCMM at up to $1,900,000 for the first year. The FTA may extend funding for this center for up to five (5) years; however, subsequent funding will depend upon: (1) Future authorization and appropriations; (2) decisions and program priorities established by the Secretary of Transportation related to the implementation of provisions set forth in 49 U.S.C. 5314; and (3) annual performance reviews.

This notice announces final environmental actions taken by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for the Geary Corridor Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project (the project) in San Francisco, California. The project would provide bus rapid transit service along the Geary corridor from the Transbay Transit Center to 48th Avenue with dedicated bus-only lanes, higher-frequency bus service, new BRT stations, improvements to pedestrian features, and upgrades to traffic signals to optimize the bus service and transit signal priority within the project area. The purpose of this notice is to announce publicly the environmental decisions by FTA on the subject project and to activate the limitation on any claims that may challenge this final environmental action.

This notice announces final environmental actions taken by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County's (RTC's) Virginia Street Bus RAPID Transit Extension project in Washoe County, Nevada. The project includes construction of a 1.8-mile extension to its existing bus rapid transit service (the RAPID) operating in the Virginia Street corridor from its existing northern terminus at the 4th Street Station transfer terminal in Downtown Reno to the University of Nevada, Reno campus. The purpose of the project is to increase transit ridership and connectivity, enhance pedestrian safety, and improve accessibility to transit in the Virginia Street corridor. The purpose of this notice is to announce publicly the environmental decisions by FTA on the subject project and to activate the limitation on any claims that may challenge this final environmental action.
