Notice of Annual Adjustment of the Cap on Average Total Assets That Defines Community Financial Institutions
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has adjusted the cap on average total assets that defines a ``Community Financial Institution'' based on the annual percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U) as published by the Department of Labor (DOL). These changes took effect on January 1, 2013.
No FEAR Act Notice
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA or agency) is providing notice to all its employees, former employees, and applicants for employment about the rights and remedies that are available to them under the Federal antidiscrimination laws and whistleblower protection laws. This notice fulfills FHFA's notification obligations under the Notification and Federal Employees Antidiscrimination Retaliation Act as implemented by Office of Personnel Management regulations.
Repeal of Disclosure Regulations
The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) is repealing two obsolete regulations issued by its predecessor agencies, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) and the Federal Housing Finance Board (Finance Board) with respect to the entities regulated by OFHEO and by the Finance Board. The regulations being repealed govern public financial disclosures made by the entities with respect to certain federal securities laws. The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 obviates the need for these rules, making them obsolete and unnecessary. This final rule repeals the two regulations in their entirety.
