Agency Information Collection Activities: Proposed Collection Renewal; Comment Request
The FDIC, as part of its obligations under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on the request to renew the existing information collections described below (OMB Control No. 3064-0022; -0137; -0148). The notices of the proposed renewal for these information collections were previously published in the Federal Register on December 14, 2023, allowing for a 60-day comment period.

Regulatory Publication and Review Under the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act of 1996
Pursuant to the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act of 1996 (EGRPRA), the OCC, Board, and FDIC (collectively, the agencies) are reviewing agency regulations to identify outdated or otherwise unnecessary regulatory requirements on insured depository institutions and their holding companies. The agencies divided their regulations into 12 categories outlined in the included chart. Over the next two years, the agencies will publish four Federal Register documents requesting comment on multiple categories. This first Federal Register document requests comment on regulations concerning the following three categories: Applications and Reporting, Powers and Activities, and International Operations.
Community Reinvestment Act
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board), and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) are adopting final amendments to their regulations implementing the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 (CRA) to update how CRA activities qualify for consideration, where CRA activities are considered, and how CRA activities are evaluated.
