Draft Risk and Exposure Assessment Reports for Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2
On April 4, 2008, the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) of EPA is making available for public review and comment two draft documents. The first document is titled ``Risk and Exposure Assessment to Support the Review of the NO2 Primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard: First Draft.'' The title of the second document is ``Risk and Exposure Assessment to Support the Review of the NO2 Primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard: Draft Technical Support Document (TSD).'' The purpose of these draft documents is to convey the approach taken to assess exposures to ambient NO2 and to characterize associated health risks, as well as to present the results of those assessments.

In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.), this document announces that EPA is planning to submit a request to renew an existing approved Information Collection Request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). This ICR is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2008. Before submitting the ICR to OMB for review and approval, EPA is soliciting comments on specific aspects of the proposed information collection as described below.
Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; Pennsylvania; Section 110(a)(1) 8-Hour Ozone Maintenance Plan and 2002 Base-Year Inventory for the Wayne County Area
EPA is proposing to approve a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) submitted a SIP revision consisting of a maintenance plan that provides for continued attainment of the 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standard (NAAQS) for at least 10 years after the April 30, 2004 designations, as well as, a 2002 base-year inventory for the Wayne County Area. EPA is proposing approval of the maintenance plan and the 2002 base-year inventory in accordance with the requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA).
