The VA is requesting information to assist in implementing section 3 of the Veterans Mobility Safety Act of 2016 (H.R. 3471, hereafter referred to as ``the Act''), which requires VA to develop a comprehensive policy regarding quality standards for automobile adaptive modification services provided to eligible Veterans and Servicemembers under VA's AAE program. This notice requests information and comments from interested parties to help inform VA's development of this policy, to include specific questions for comment with regard to safety and quality standards for AAE and installation, installer or provider certification by a third party organization or manufacturer, education and training of VA personnel, installer or provider compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and permitting eligible Veterans and Servicemembers to receive automobile adaptive modifications at their residence or location of choice.
