Environmental Impact Statement: Riverside County, CA; Notice of Intent
The FHWA, on behalf of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is issuing this notice to advise the public that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will be prepared for a proposed highway project in Riverside County, California. Caltrans will be responsible for production of the EIS in accordance with assignment of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) responsibilities from DOT to Caltrans pursuant to Section 6005 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU, Pub. L. 109-59).
Notice of Final Federal Agency Action on Proposed Bridge Rehabilitation and Restoration in Massachusetts
This notice announces action taken by the FHWA that is final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The action relates to the proposed Longfellow Bridge Rehabilitation and Restoration Project in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts. The action grants an approval for the project.
Notice of Final Federal Agency Actions on Proposed Highway in Minnesota
This notice announces actions taken by the FHWA and other Federal agencies that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project on I-90 over the Mississippi River. The proposed project includes replacement of the Interstate 90 (I-90) Dresbach Bridge over the Mississippi River with a new bridge that meets structural and geometric standards as well as reconstruction of the I-90/U.S. 61 interchange to improve traffic safety, capacity, and access on and between U.S. 61/14 and I-90. Those actions grant approvals for the project.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Request for Comments for a New Information Collection
FHWA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) approval for a new information collection, which is summarized below under SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION. We published a Federal Register Notice with a 60-day public comment period on this information collection on June 22, 2012. We are required to publish this notice in the Federal Register by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
Notice of Final Federal Agency Actions on Loop 1 in Texas
This notice announces actions taken by the FHWA, and other Federal agencies that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project, Loop 1, from Farm-to-Market (FM) 734 to Cesar Chavez Street in Travis County, Texas. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.
Draft Program Comment for Common Post-1945 Concrete and Steel Bridges
The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) is considering issuing a Program Comment at the request of the Federal Highway Administration setting forth the way in which FHWA will comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act with regard to the effects of undertakings on common post-1945 concrete and steel bridges. The FHWA is requesting comments on the proposed Program Comment.
Procurement, Management, and Administration of Engineering and Design Related Services
The FHWA proposes to update the regulations governing the procurement, management, and administration of engineering and design related services directly related to a highway construction project and reimbursed with Federal-aid highway program (FAHP) funding. The intent is to make the regulations consistent with prior changes in legislation and other applicable regulations. These revisions also address certain findings and recommendations for the oversight of consultant services contained in national review and audit reports.
