Federal Highway Administration July 2009 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

Pursuant to 40 CFR 1508.22 and 43 Texas Administrative Code Sec. 2.5 (e)(2), the Federal Highway Administration, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Alamo Regional Mobility Authority are issuing this notice to advise the public that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will be prepared for proposed improvements to Loop 1604 in San Antonio, Texas, within Bexar County limits to enhance mobility and improve safety from FM 1957 to IH 35 North, a distance of approximately 32.35 miles in Bexar County Texas. Areas within the city of San Antonio are included in the project study area.

Section 6005 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) established the Surface Transportation Project Delivery Pilot Program (pilot program), codified at 23 U.S.C. 327. To ensure compliance by each State participating in the pilot program, 23 U.S.C. 327(g) mandates semiannual audits during each of the first 2 years of State participation. This final report presents the findings from the third FHWA audit of the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) under the pilot program.

This notice announces actions taken by the FHWA and other Federal agencies that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project, Grand Parkway (State Highway 99) Segment F-1, from United States Highway 290 (U.S. 290) to State Highway 249 (S.H. 249) in Harris County, Texas. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.

The FHWA, on behalf of Caltrans, is issuing this notice to announce actions taken by Caltrans that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project, State Route-39 (SR-39, San Gabriel Canyon Road) Rehabilitation/ Reopening Project [post mile 40.0-44.4] in the Angeles National Forest, County of Los Angeles, State of California. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.

The FHWA, on behalf of Caltrans, is issuing this notice to announce actions taken by Caltrans that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project, the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge Suicide Barrier project on State Route 154 at Cold Spring Canyon Bridge, 05-SB-154-PM 22.9/23.1, in the County of Santa Barbara, State of California. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.

This notice provides information regarding the FHWA's finding that a Buy America waiver is appropriate for the use of foreign U-69 guard bars, Manganese Castings, Turnout braces, and weld kits in the Federal-aid construction project for the CREATE Project in Illinois.
