The FHWA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) approval for a new information collection, which is summarized below under SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION . We are required to publish this notice in the Federal Register by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

The FHWA, on behalf of Caltrans, is issuing this notice to announce actions taken by Caltrans that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l) (1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project, Interstate Routes 10 (PM 31.1/31.3)/605 (PM20.2/20.6) Direct Connector project in the County of Los Angeles, State of California. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.

This notice announces actions taken by the USACE and other Federal agencies that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(I)(1). The actions relate to a proposed highway project, the Triangle Parkway, which begins at NC 540 in Wake County and ends at I- 40 in Durham County, North Carolina. The Triangle Parkway is also known as State Transportation Improvement Program Project U-4763B. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.

The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that an Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared for the improvement of North Second Street in Memphis, Tennessee. The project begins at Interstate 40 and extends north to the intersection of U.S. 51 and Whitney Avenue. The FHWA issued a notice to advise the public that the Notice of Intent published on November 7, 2002, to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed North Second Street project in Memphis, Tennessee was being rescinded. This Notice to rescind the previously published Notice of Intent was published in the Federal Register on Wednesday, December 24, at 73 FR 79203. An EIS has not been completed for this proposed project since the original NOI was issued to the Federal Register on November 7, 2002. Since the limits of the project have been extended and other changes have occurred, a new EIS will be prepared.

This notice announces actions taken by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) pursuant to its assigned responsibilities under 23 U.S.C. 327 that are final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 139(l)(1). These actions relate to a proposed highway project, the Ventura/Santa Barbara U.S.101 HOV Project between Mobil Pier Undercrossing in Ventura County and Casitas Pass Road in Santa Barbara County, State of California. Those actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.
