The IRS is authorized to award multi-year LITC grants not to exceed three years. (Organizations currently participating in the LITC grant program that are submitting a Non-Competing Continuation Request for continued funding for 2024 must do so electronically at www.grantsolutions.gov). Grants may be awarded for the development, expansion, or continuation of programs providing qualified services to eligible taxpayers. Grant funds may be awarded for start-up expenditures incurred by new clinics during 2024. The budget and the period of performance for the grant will be January 1, 2024December 31, 2024. The application period runs from May 8, 2023, through June 26, 2023.

The Financial Research Advisory Committee for the Treasury's Office of Financial Research (OFR) is convening for its twenty-first meeting on Thursday, May 18, 2023, via webcast and in person at the OFR's New York office (290 Broadway, New York, New York 10007), beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The meeting will be open to the public and advance registration is required.

This document contains corrections to a notice of proposed rulemaking (REG-105954-22) that was published in the Federal Register on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. The proposed rulemaking published in March contains proposed regulations relating to the excise taxes imposed on certain chemicals and certain imported substances, effective July 1, 2022.
