The National Park Service hereby gives public notice that it proposes to extend the following expiring concession contracts for a period of up to one (1) year, or until the effective date of a new contract, whichever occurs sooner.

Notice of Intent To Prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for a Special Use Permit to Dare County for Activities Related to the Protection of North Carolina Highway 12 in Cape Hatteras National Seashore, North Carolina
The National Park Service (NPS) is preparing a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in response to a request from Dare County, North Carolina, for a Special Use Permit for activities related to the protection of North Carolina Highway 12 (Highway 12) in the Buxton area. The EIS will assist the NPS in determining whether, where, and under what conditions the NPS would issue a Special Use Permit to Dare County for actions related to the protection of Highway 12 in the Buxton Village area. The NPS is considering this proposal to address erosion issues and prevent future emergency closure of these areas of Highway 12 due to storm impacts to the road in this narrow area of Hatteras Island. This notice initiates the public scoping process for this EIS.
Assessment of Eligible and Ineligible Lands for Consideration as Wilderness Areas, Big Cypress National Preserve
Pursuant to the Wilderness Act of 1964, and in accordance with National Park Service (NPS) Management Policies (2006), Section 6.2.1, the NPS intends to assess lands within the original 1974 legislated boundary of Big Cypress National Preserve for wilderness eligibility. A determination of eligibility and subsequent future actions will be announced in the Federal Register upon completion of the assessment.

The National Park Service (NPS) announces the availability of a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Anacostia Park Wetlands and Resident Canada Goose Management Plan, Anacostia Park, Washington, DC The plan provides integrated tools to protect and manage previously restored wetlands in the park, as well as other park resources, including management of the resident Canada goose population.
Notice of Inventory Completion: U.S. Department of Defense, Army, Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum, Fort Sill, OK
The Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects, in consultation with the appropriate Indian tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations, and has determined that a relationship of lineal descent has been established between the human remains and associated funerary objects of an identified individual and the individual's descendants. Lineal descendants not identified in this notice who wish to request transfer of control of these human remains and associated funerary objects should submit a written request to Fort Sill National Historic Landmark and Museum. If no additional requestors come forward, transfer of control of the human remains and associated funerary objects to the lineal descendants stated in this notice may proceed.

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects, in consultation with the appropriate Indian tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations, and has determined that there is a cultural affiliation between the human remains and associated funerary objects and present- day Indian tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. Lineal descendants or representatives of any Indian tribe or Native Hawaiian organization not identified in this notice that wish to request transfer of control of these human remains and associated funerary objects should submit a written request to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. If no additional requestors come forward, transfer of control of the human remains and associated funerary objects to the lineal descendants, Indian tribes, or Native Hawaiian organizations stated in this notice may proceed.
