The sale will be conducted as a competitive bid auction in which interested bidders must submit written sealed bids equal to, or greater than, the appraised fair market value of the land.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) filed a petition/ application to extend the duration of Public Land Order (PLO) No. 6997, as corrected, for an additional 20-year term. PLO No. 6997 withdrew 891,442.36 acres of Federal mineral estate from location and entry under the United States mining laws to protect the Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge (CMR NWR). The surface is protected by an overlapping withdrawal. This notice gives an opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed withdrawal extension and announces the date, time, and location of a public meeting.
Notice of Proposed Information Collection for 1029-0067
In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM or We) is announcing that the information collection request for the restriction on financial interests of State employees has been forwarded to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and reauthorization. The information collection package was previously approved and assigned clearance number 1029-0067. This notice describes the nature of the information collection activity and the expected burden and cost.
