The Department of the Interior (DOI) is removing its regulation implementing the government-wide common rule on drug-free workplace requirements for financial assistance and issuing a new regulation to adopt the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidance. This regulatory action implements the OMB's initiative to streamline and consolidate into one title of the Code of Federal Regulations all Federal regulations on drug-free workplace requirements for financial assistance. These changes constitute an administrative simplification that will make no substantive change in DOI policy or procedures for drug-free workplace.

The Bureau of Reclamation and the California Department of Water Resources are revising our proposal to prepare a joint EIS/EIR on the effects of the proposed Reach 4B, Eastside Bypass, and Mariposa Bypass Channel and Structural Improvements Project under the San Joaquin River Restoration Program. The original notice of intent was published in the Federal Register on September 9, 2009 (74 FR 46453). This revised proposal would include measures for the conveyance of Interim and Restoration flows and incorporation of fish habitat through Reach 4B and/or the bypasses. When evaluating comments on this proposal, we will also consider comments that we received on the previous proposal.

The National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) will meet on December 7-8, 2010 at the American Institute of Architects Building, 1735 New York Avenue, NW., Washington, DC 20006.
