This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. The Employment and Training Administration of the Department of Labor (DOL) is issuing this notice to announce updates to the Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWR) for the employment of temporary or seasonal nonimmigrant foreign workers (H-2A workers) to perform agricultural labor or services other than the herding or production of livestock on the range. AEWRs are the minimum wage rates DOL has determined must be offered, advertised in recruitment, and paid by employers to H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment so that the wages and working conditions of workers in the United States (U.S.) similarly employed will not be adversely affected. In this notice, DOL announces the AEWRs based on wage data reported by DOL's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) survey. The AEWRs established in this notice are applicable to H-2A job opportunities classified: in Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes other than the six SOC codes comprising the field and livestock workers (combined) group, and in the field and livestock workers (combined) occupational group that are located in States or regions, or equivalent districts or territories, for which the United States Department of Agriculture's Farm Labor Report (better known as the Farm Labor Survey, or FLS) does not report a wage.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is correcting an amendatory instruction in a final rule that was published in the Federal Register on April 18, 2024. The document amended the Agency's existing standards to better protect miners against occupational exposure to respirable crystalline silica, a significant health hazard, and to improve respiratory protection for miners from exposure to airborne contaminants.

This document provides notice of the pendency before the Department of Labor (the Department) of a proposed individual exemption from certain of the prohibited transaction restrictions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA or the Act) and/or the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the Code). The Department previously issued an individual prohibited transaction exemption (PTE) 2023-14 that allowed certain asset managers related to UBS (the Applicant) and Credit Suisse Group AG (CSAG) to continue to rely on the exemptive relief provided by Prohibited Transaction Exemption 84-14 for one year following UBS' acquisition of CSAG. This proposed exemption would allow current and future asset managers under the UBS corporate umbrella to continue to rely on PTE 84-14 from June 12, 2024, to June 11, 2029 if certain conditions were met, notwithstanding the five judgments of conviction involving entities within the UBS and CSAG corporate umbrellas that are described below.
