Department of Labor December 7, 2020 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The Employment and Training Administration, Labor, published a document in the Federal Register of November 6, 2020, concerning the annual certifications under the Federal Unemployment Tax Act. The document contained draft verbiage instead of the final approved verbiage.

The Department of Labor (DOL) is submitting this Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA)-sponsored information collection request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA). Public comments on the ICR are invited.

The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a pre-clearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is soliciting comments on the information collection for Testing, Evaluation, and Approval of Mining Products, 30 CFR Subchapter Bparts 6 through 36.
