This is an announcement of the fourth hearing of the Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence (the ``task force''). The task force is chartered to provide OJP, a component of the Department of Justice, with valuable advice in the areas of children exposed to violence for the purpose of addressing the epidemic levels of exposure to violence faced by our nation's children. Based on the testimony at four public hearings; comprehensive research; and extensive input from experts, advocates, and impacted families and communities nationwide, the task force will issue a final report to the Attorney General presenting its findings and comprehensive policy recommendations in the fall of 2012.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. 552a), the United States Department of Justice (``DOJ'' or ``Department'') Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) proposes to modify JUSTICE/DEA-008, ``Investigative Reporting and Filing System'' (``IRFS''). IRFS was last published in its entirety in the Federal Register at 61 FR 54219, Oct. 17, 1996. The Department proposes to modify IRFS to update, add to, and/or clarify the system location, the categories of individuals covered by the system, the categories of records in the system, the authorities for the maintenance of the system, the purposes of the system, the system's routine uses, the policies and practices for storing, retrieving, accessing, retaining, and disposing of records in the system, the system manager, the notification procedures, the record access procedures, the contesting record procedures, the record source categories, and the exemptions claimed for the system. These changes are made in the wake of legislative changes, to improve mandated cooperation between law enforcement and intelligence entities, and to reflect the modernization of DEA's information systems.

The purpose of this notice is to announce the meeting of the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Advisory Policy Board (APB). The CJIS APB is a federal advisory committee established pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). This meeting announcement is being published as required by Section 10 of the FACA. The CJIS APB is responsible for reviewing policy issues and appropriate technical and operational issues related to the programs administered by the FBI's CJIS Division, and thereafter, making appropriate recommendations to the FBI Director. The programs administered by the CJIS Division are the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System/Next Generation Identification, Interstate Identification Index, Law Enforcement Online, National Crime Information Center, National Instant Criminal Background Check System, National Incident-Based Reporting System, Law Enforcement National Data Exchange, and Uniform Crime Reporting. The meeting will be open to the public on a first come, first seated basis. Any member of the public wishing to file a written statement concerning the CJIS Division's programs or wishing to address this session should notify the CJIS Designated Federal Officer, R. Scott Trent at (304) 625-5263 at least 72 hours prior to the start of the session. The notification should contain the requestor's name, corporate designation, and consumer affiliation or government designation along with a short statement describing the topic to be addressed and the time needed for the presentation. A requestor will ordinarily be allowed no more than 15 minutes to present a topic. Dates and Times: The APB will meet in open session from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., on June 6-7, 2012.
Meeting of the Compact Council for the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact

The purpose of this notice is to announce a meeting of the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact Council (Council) created by the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact Act of 1998 (Compact). Thus far, the Federal Government and 29 states are parties to the Compact which governs the exchange of criminal history records for licensing, employment, and similar purposes. The Compact also provides a legal framework for the establishment of a cooperative federal-state system to exchange such records. The United States Attorney General appointed 15 persons from state and federal agencies to serve on the Council. The Council will prescribe system rules and procedures for the effective and proper operation of the Interstate Identification Index system for noncriminal justice purposes. Matters for discussion are expected to include: (1) Rap Back. (2) Guiding principle documents outlining privacy rights for agencies and applicants use during fingerprint-based background checks. (3) The National Background Check System Task Force recommendation on potential reimbursable arrangements for National Fingerprint File participants. The meeting will be open to the public on a first-come, first- seated basis.
