This document provides notice to customs brokers that the annual user fee that is assessed for each permit held by a customs broker, whether it may be an individual, partnership, association, or corporation, is due no later than February 9, 2024. Pursuant to fee adjustments required by the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, the customs broker permit user fee payable for calendar year 2024 will be $174.80. CBP is also announcing that customs brokers may pay the fee electronically via the electronic Customs and Border Protection (eCBP) portal.
Announcement of the National Customs Automation Program Test Concerning the Electronic Issuance of Demands on Surety

This document announces that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will conduct a National Customs Automation Program test regarding the electronic issuance of demands on surety for certain kinds of claims, the ``Electronic Issuance of Demands on Surety'' (EIDS) test. Test participation is limited to sureties that receive the ``Notice of Penalty or Liquidated Damages Incurred and Demand for Payment'' (CBP Form 5955A) for claims for liquidated damages or penalties. The EIDS test will not include any other purpose or type of claim for which the CBP Form 5955A is used, such as a demand for duties, taxes, fees, or charges other than liquidated damages or penalties.

This document announces that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will convene the 2024 Trade Facilitation and Cargo Security (TFCS) Summit in Philadelphia, PA, on March 26-28, 2024. The 2024 TFCS Summit will be open for the public to attend in person or via webinar. The 2024 TFCS Summit will feature CBP personnel, members of the trade community, and members of other government agencies in panel discussions on CBP's role in international trade initiatives and programs. Members of the international trade and transportation communities and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.
