Agency Information Collection Activities: Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has submitted the following information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). The submission describes the nature of the information collection, the categories of respondents, the estimated burden (i.e., the time, effort and resources used by respondents to respond) and cost, and includes the actual data collection instruments FEMA will use. Title: Application for Community Disaster Loan Cancellation. OMB Number: 1660-0082. Abstract: Local governments may submit an Application for Loan Cancellation through the Governor's Authorized Representative to the FEMA Regional Director prior to the expiration date of the loan. FEMA has the authority to cancel repayment of all or part of a Community Disaster Loan to the extent that a determination is made that revenues of the local government during the three fiscal years following the disaster are insufficient to meet the operating budget of that local government because of disaster related revenue losses and additional unreimbursed disaster-related municipal operating expenses. Operating budget means actual revenues and expenditures of the local government as published in the official financial statements of the local government. Affected Public: Individuals or households; Business or other for- profit; Not-for-profit institutions; Farms; Federal Government; and State, Local or Tribal Government. Number of Respondents: 1. Estimated Time per Respondent: 1 hour. Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 1 hour. Frequency of Response: On occasion. Comments: Interested persons are invited to submit written comments on the proposed information collection to the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs at OMB, Attention: Desk Officer for the Department of Homeland Security/FEMA, Docket Library, Room 10102, 725 17th Street, NW., Washington, DC 20503, or facsimile number (202) 395-7285.
