Implementation of Sector Portland, Oregon
The Coast Guard announces the stand-up of Sector Portland, Oregon. Sector Portland is an internal reorganization that combines Group Portland and Marine Safety Office Portland into a single command. The Coast Guard has established a continuity of operations whereby all previous practices and procedures will remain in effect until superseded by an authorized Coast Guard official or document.
Implementation of Sector Ohio Valley
The Coast Guard announces the stand-up of Sector Ohio Valley. Sector Ohio Valley is an internal reorganization to combine Group Ohio Valley, Marine Safety Office Paducah, Marine Safety Office Louisville, Marine Safety Office Huntington, and Marine Safety Office Pittsburgh into one command. The Coast Guard has established a continuity of operations whereby all previous practices and procedures will remain in effect until superseded by an authorized Coast Guard official and/or document.
Special Local Regulations for Marine Events; Mill Creek, Fort Monroe, Hampton, VA
The Coast Guard is establishing temporary special local regulations during the ``Hampton Cup Regatta'' boat races, a marine event to be held August 12, 13 and 14, 2005, on the waters of Mill Creek, near Fort Monroe, Hampton, Virginia. These special local regulations are necessary to provide for the safety of life on navigable waters during the event. This action is intended to restrict vessel traffic in portions of Mill Creek during the event.
