Modernizing Recruitment Requirements for the Temporary Employment of H-2B Foreign Workers in the United States; Extension of Comment Period
This document extends the period for submitting written comments on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) entitled Modernizing Recruitment Requirements for the Temporary Employment of H- 2B Foreign Workers in the United States. The comment period was initially scheduled to end on December 10, 2018. The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor (collectively, the Departments) are taking this action to provide interested parties additional time to submit comments in response to requests for an extension of the commenting period.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Application for Withdrawal of Bonded Stores for Fishing Vessels and Certificate of Use
The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will be submitting the following information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA). The information collection is published in the Federal Register to obtain comments from the public and affected agencies. Comments are encouraged and must be submitted (no later than February 8, 2019) to be assured of consideration.
Safety Zone: Winter on the Waterfront Fireworks Display, Berkeley, CA
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone in the navigable waters of San Francisco Bay near Berkeley Marina in support of the Winter on the Waterfront Fireworks Display on December 8, 2018. This safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from the dangers associated with pyrotechnics. Unauthorized persons or vessels are prohibited from entering into, transiting through, or remaining in the safety zone without permission of the Captain of the Port of their designated representative.
