This notice is to inform the public the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is supporting a supplement (in scope of the parent award) for the grant recipient funded in FY 2020 under the Homeless and Housing Resource Center (HHRC) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) SM-20-009. The recipient may receive up to $498,500 in supplemental funds. The recipient has a project end date of August 30, 2024. The supplemental funding will be used to address substance use and/or mental disorders associated with service access and delivery and systems needs related to unsheltered and rural homelessness.

This notice is to inform the public that the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is supporting a supplement in scope of the original award for the one grant recipient, the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), funded in FY 2019 under the National Anti-Drug Coalitions Training and Workforce Development award, Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) SP-19-002. The recipient may receive up to $175,000 and the project period will be extended by 12 months until November 30, 2024. The supplemental funding to CADCA will be used to continue the Voices of Youth Training Initiative. The Voices of Youth Training Initiative has shown positive results, and the continuation of the program will support finalizing the sustainability and scalability beyond the supplements. The supplement will continue to connect the Future Health Professionals (HOSA) national student organization with CADCA to support youth-led strategic planning for the prevention field and develop leadership skills for the future workforce. This supplement will also allow CADCA to provide HOSA students an opportunity to both learn about and provide valuable input into strategic initiatives for prevention.

The Secretary of Health and Human Services (Secretary) announces a meeting of the Interdepartmental Substance Use Disorders Coordinating Committee (ISUDCC). The ISUDCC is open to the public and members of the public can attend the meeting via telephone or webcast only, and not in person. Agenda with call-in information will be posted on the SAMHSA website prior to the meeting at: https://www.samhsa.gov/ about-us/advisory-councils/meetings. The meeting will include information on the progress of the ISUDCC Working Groups, discussion of the ISUDCC Reauthorization, and sections 1262 and 1263 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, commonly known as the Mainstreaming Addiction Treatment (MAT) Act and Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act. This notice is to inform the public the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is supporting a supplement in scope of the original award to the University of North Carolina funded in FY 2018 under the National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders (NCEED), Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) SM-18-021. The recipient may receive up to $747,646. The supplemental funding will extend the project period by 12-months until September 29, 2024 and will: continue to develop and disseminate high-quality training and technical assistance to healthcare practitioners on issues related to eating disorders; facilitate the identification of model eating disorder programs; provide the most up-to-date information on eating disorders; and promote public awareness of eating disorders.
