Cybersecurity Incentives
The Commission is proposing to revise its regulations to establish rules for incentive-based rate treatments for voluntary cybersecurity investments by a public utility for or in connection with the transmission or sale of electric energy subject to the jurisdiction of the Commission, and rates or practices affecting or pertaining to such rates for the purpose of ensuring the reliability of the Bulk- Power System.
Fuel Cell Thermal Energy Output; Bloom Energy Corporation
In this final rule, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission amends the definition of useful thermal energy output in its regulations implementing the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 to recognize the technical evolution of cogeneration.
Civil Monetary Penalty Inflation Adjustments
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) is issuing a final rule to amend its regulations governing the maximum civil monetary penalties assessable for violations of statutes, rules, and orders within the Commission's jurisdiction. The Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, as amended most recently by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, requires the Commission to issue this final rule.
Southern LNG Company, L.L.C.; Application for Blanket Authorization To Export Previously Imported Liquefied Natural Gas to Non-Free Trade Agreement Countries on a Short-Term Basis
The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy (DOE) gives notice (Notice) of receipt of an application (Application), filed on August 18, 2020, by Southern LNG Company, L.L.C. (Southern LNG). Southern LNG requests blanket authorization to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) previously imported into the United States by vessel from foreign sources in a volume equivalent to 182.5 billion cubic feet per year (Bcf/yr) of natural gas on a cumulative basis over a two-year period. Southern LNG filed the Application under the Natural Gas Act (NGA). Protests, motions to intervene, notices of intervention, and written comments are invited.

Limiting Authorizations To Proceed With Construction Activities Pending Rehearing
On rehearing, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) modifies Order No. 871, which amended its regulations to preclude the issuance of authorizations to proceed with construction activities with respect to natural gas facilities authorized by order issued pursuant to section 3 or section 7 of the Natural Gas Act until either the time for filing a request for rehearing of such order has passed with no rehearing request being filed or the Commission has acted on the merits of any rehearing request. The Commission provides for further briefing on the issues raised in the rehearing requests.
