Department of Energy October 23, 2020 – Federal Register Recent Federal Regulation Documents

The U.S. Department of Energy (``DOE'') is extending the public comment period for the notice of proposed rulemaking (``NOPR'') by which DOE proposes to revise its existing enforcement regulations for certain consumer products and commercial and industrial equipment covered under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, as amended. DOE published the NOPR in the Federal Register on August 31, 2020, establishing a public comment period that ends on October 30, 2020. In this document, DOE is extending the comment period to December 30, 2020 and announcing a public hearing on December 8, 2020.
