Extension Without Change to a Previously Approved Agency Information Collection

The Department of Energy, pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, intends to renew, for three years, an information collection request pertaining to the Department's administration of access provisions under the Privacy Act of 1974, with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Comments are invited on: (a) Whether the extended collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; (d) ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology; and (e) the agency's proposal to change the name of the information collection from the current ``Records and Administration'' to ``Privacy Act Administration,'' which reflects a change of the owner of this information collection from the agency's Records Management Officer to the agency's Chief Privacy Officer. The collection instrument has been modified to comply with updates to Privacy Act implementation requirements outlined in OMB Circular A-108, issued January 2017, located at: https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/sites/ default/files/omb/assets/OMB/circulars/a108/omb_circular_a-10 8.pdf.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission or FERC) previously issued a 60-day Notice in the Federal Register requesting public comments on FERC-603 (Critical Energy/Electric Infrastructure Information (CEII) Request). The Commission received no comments. In compliance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the Commission is submitting the FERC-603 to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review of the information collection requirements. Any interested person may file comments directly with OMB and should address a copy of those comments to the Commission as explained below.

Pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act, and following consultation with the Committee Management Secretariat, General Services Administration, notice is hereby given that the Defense Programs Advisory Committee (DPAC) will be renewed for a two-year period beginning on February 10, 2017. The DPAC will provide advice and recommendations to the Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs on the stewardship and maintenance of the Nation's nuclear deterrent. Additionally, the renewal of the Committee has been determined to be essential to the conduct of the Department's business and to be in the public interest in connection with the performance of duties imposed upon the Department of Energy by law and agreement. The Committee will continue to operate in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the rules and regulations in implementation of that Act.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) gives notice of a decision and order (Case No. BC-001) that grants to Dyson, Inc. (Dyson) a waiver from the DOE test procedure for determining the energy consumption of battery chargers. Under this decision and order, Dyson is required to test and rate the battery charger used in its robotic vacuum cleaner model RB01, marketed as the Dyson 360-Eye (Robot) using an alternate test procedure to turn off functions not associated with the battery charging process during the charge and maintenance mode test by isolating a terminal of the battery pack using isolating tape when measuring energy consumption.
