The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability will conduct a webinar on December 11, 2014, to conclude the development phase of a Voluntary Code of Conduct (VCC) for utilities and third parties regarding the privacy of customer energy usage data. The webinar will summarize changes made to the VCC concepts and principles as a result of public comments. In addition, a proposed implementation plan and adoption process will be presented as well as preliminary results from focus groups conducted to gauge consumer sentiment.

The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy (DOE) gives notice of receipt of an application (Application), filed on October 24, 2014, by Sempra LNG Marketing, LLC (Sempra LNG Marketing), requesting blanket authorization to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) previously imported into the United States from foreign sources in an amount up to the equivalent of 250 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas on a short-term or spot market basis for a two-year period commencing on February 1, 2015.\1\ Sempra LNG Marketing seeks authorization to export the LNG from the Cameron LNG Terminal, in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, to any country with the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier and with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy. Sempra LNG Marketing states that it does not seek authorization to export any domestically produced natural gas or LNG, and notes that it currently holds a blanket authorization to import LNG from various international sources by vessel in an amount up to the equivalent of 800 Bcf of natural gas.\2\ The Application was filed under section 3 of the Natural Gas Act (NGA).
