Energy Efficiency Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Automatic Commercial Ice Makers
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) will hold a public meeting to discuss the energy model used in the engineering analysis supporting its energy conservation standard rulemaking for automatic commercial ice makers. During the meeting, DOE will provide detailed description of the Energy Model and demonstrate its use.
Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee: Notice of Intent To Establish the Regional Standards Enforcement Working Group To Negotiate a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) for Regional Standards Enforcement
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE or the Department) is giving notice that it intends to establish a negotiated rulemaking working group under the Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee (ASRAC) in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and the Negotiated Rulemaking Act (NRA) to negotiate proposed Federal standards for the energy efficiency requirements of enforcement of regional standards. The purpose of the working group will be to discuss and, if possible, reach consensus on a proposed rule for the energy efficiency of requirements of enforcement of regional standards, as authorized by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA) of 1975, as amended. The working group will consist of representatives of parties having a defined stake in the outcome of the proposed standards, and will consult as appropriate with a range of experts on technical issues.

Physical Characterization of Grid-Connected Commercial and Residential Buildings End-Use Equipment and Appliances
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is soliciting comment from the public on a draft framework for the physical characterization of grid-connected commercial and residential buildings end-use equipment and appliances. To inform interested parties and to facilitate this data-gathering process, DOE will hold a public meeting for stakeholders to discuss a draft framework for physical characterization of grid- connected commercial and residential buildings end-use equipment and appliances, including but not limited to processes and metrics for measurement, identification of grid and building services that can be provided, and a process for developing an initial list of products to consider. The public meeting will also allow DOE to gather input on topics related to grid-connected equipment, allow stakeholder groups to engage, and provide an opportunity to allow interested parties to provide published work and studies related to these issues.
Agency Information Collection Extension
The Department of Energy (DOE) has submitted an information collection request to the OMB for extension under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection requests a three-year extension of its Printing and Publishing Activities, OMB Control Number 1910-0100. The Congressional Joint Committee on Printing requires the collection of this data. The Department reports on information gathered and compiled from its facilities nation-wide on the usage of in-house printing and duplicating activities as well as all printing production from external Government Printing Office (GPO) and GPO vendors.

Environmental Assessment for the Acceptance and Disposition of Used Nuclear Fuel Containing U.S.-Origin Highly Enriched Uranium From the Federal Republic of Germany
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announces its intent to prepare an environmental assessment (EA), (DOE/EA-1977) pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to analyze the potential environmental impacts from a proposed project to accept used nuclear fuel from the Federal Republic of Germany at DOE's Savannah River Site (SRS) for processing and disposition. This used nuclear fuel is composed of kernels containing thorium and U.S.-origin highly enriched uranium (HEU) embedded in small graphite spheres that were irradiated in nuclear reactors used for research and development purposes. DOE invites public comments on the scope of the EA and will conduct a public meeting.
Proposed Procedures for Liquefied Natural Gas Export Decisions

Draft Addendum to Environmental Review Documents Concerning Exports of Natural Gas From the United States
The Office of Fossil Energy (FE) of the Department of Energy (DOE) announces the availability of the Draft Addendum to Environmental Review Documents Concerning Exports of Natural Gas From The United States (Addendum) for public review and comment. The purpose of this Addendum is to provide additional information to the public regarding the potential environmental impacts of unconventional natural gas exploration and production activities. DOE has received many comments in related proceedings expressing concerns about the potential impacts from increased development of unconventional natural gas resources in the United States, particularly production that involves hydraulic fracturing. While not required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), DOE has prepared this Addendum in an effort to be responsive to the public and provide the best information available. DOE is making this draft Addendum available for public review and comment, and will consider comments prior to finalizing this Addendum.
