President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology Meeting
This notice sets forth the schedule and summary agenda for a partially closed meeting of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), and describes the functions of the Council. Notice of this meeting is required under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), 5 U.S.C. App. 2.
Trespassing on DOE Property: Fermi Site Office Properties
The Department of Energy (DOE) hereby amends and adds to the previously published site descriptions of various DOE and contractor occupied buildings as off-limits areas. It is a federal crime for unauthorized persons to enter into or upon the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory located in Kane and DuPage Counties in the State of Illinois. Unauthorized entry into or upon these properties may result in a fine and/or imprisonment.
Annual Update to Fee Schedule for the Use of Government Lands by Hydropower Licensees
In accordance with the Commission's regulations, the Commission, by its designee, the Executive Director, issues this notice of the annual update to the fee schedule in Appendix A to Part 11, which lists per-acre rental fees by county (or other geographic area) for use of government lands by hydropower licensees.
Advanced Scientific Computing Advisory Committee
This notice announces a meeting of the Advanced Scientific Computing Advisory Committee (ASCAC). Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-463, 86 Stat. 770) requires that public notice of these meetings be announced in the Federal Register.
Agency Information Collection Extension
The Department of Energy (DOE) has submitted an information collection request to the OMB for extension under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The information collection requests a three-year extension of its Occupational Radiation Protection Program, OMB Control Number 1910-5105. This information collection request covers information necessary to permit DOE and its contractors to provide management control and oversight over health and safety programs concerning worker exposure to ionizing radiation. The Estimated Number of Total Responses in the previously published request for comments, 34, is incorrect; the correct Estimated Number of Total Responses is 170.
Proposed Subsequent Arrangement
This notice is being issued under the authority of section 131a. of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended. The Department is providing notice of a proposed subsequent arrangement under the Agreement for Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy Between the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) and the United States of America and the Agreement for Cooperation between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Norway Concerning Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy.
National Petroleum Council (NPC)
Pursuant to Section 14(a)(2)(A) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, (Pub. L. 92-463), and in accordance with Title 41 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 102-3.65(a), and following consultation with the Committee Management Secretariat, General Services Administration, notice is hereby given that the National Petroleum Council (NPC) will be renewed for a two-year period beginning on January 10, 2014. The Council will provide advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Energy on matters relating to oil and natural gas, or the oil and natural gas industry. Additionally, the renewal of the NPC has been determined to be essential to the conduct of the Department of Energy's business and to be in the public interest in connection with the performance of duties imposed upon the Department of Energy, by law and agreement. The Council will continue to operate in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, adhering to the rules and regulations in implementation of that Act.
Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee: Notice of Open Meeting for the Commercial/Industrial Pumps Working Group To Negotiate a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) for Energy Conservation Standards for Commercial/Industrial Pumps
This notice announces open public meetings for the Commercial/ Industrial Pumps Working Group negotiated rulemaking under the Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee (ASRAC) in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and the Negotiated Rulemaking Act (NRA) to negotiate proposed Federal standards for the energy efficiency of commercial/industrial pumps. The purpose of the meetings will be to discuss and, if possible, reach consensus on a proposed rule for the energy efficiency of commercial/industrial pumps, as authorized by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA) of 1975, as amended. The working group consists of representatives of parties having a defined stake in the outcome of the proposed standards, and will consult as appropriate with a range of experts on technical issues.
